Parking Will Be Limited

On race day, racers will arrive in Downtown Traverse City around 4 am. IronMan organizers expect public parking to be full at that time by race participants.

It is strongly recommended that the utilization of Destination Downtown or BATA’s free park and ride option, The Bayline, are sought for this particular day. However, the DDA is closing Lot V at 10 pm on Saturday, August 24th and reopening at 9 am on Sunday, August 25th for the use of Downtown employees. The lot will be occupied on a first come first serve basis.

If you are a Downtown Employee and need to access parking earlier than 9 am, please contact the parking office at 922.0241.

Please note, if your car is parked along the route, on any closed streets or parking lots, it will be towed. See the above information on street closures as to where cars will be towed.

Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market Details

The Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market will remain in Lot B on Saturday, August 24th. IronMan will occupy the western portion of the parking lot for set up. Vendors will shift to the north, west, and also be placed along Cass Street.

The Early Bird Gets The Worm!

The first 400 customers at The Market will receive $5 Market Dollars, courtesy of IronMan on Saturday, August 24th only.

Accessing The Market

By Car: Due to IronMan occupying Lot T (next to the farmers market lot) on Saturday, August 24, parking in the immediate area around The Market will not be available. Lot A (south of the river behind businesses on Front Street) will remain open. To view a parking map, click here.

By Bike: Norte’s Bike Valet will located on the Cass Street Bridge.

By Foot: The easiest way to access The Market will by via Cass Street.
