8th Street Construction:
Beginning May 6, 2019

We are looking forward to a better 8th Street! The City of Traverse City will begin construction on a large-scale street reconstruction along the 8th Street Corridor (between Woodmere and Cass) on Monday, May 6, 2019. Construction is expected to last until mid October, 2019.

The long awaited 8th Street Construction project will improve not only street use for the automobile, but the pedestrian experience as well. Cycle tracks are planned for a safer riding experience, utility upgrades, lighting, and streetscapes.
