Earlier this year, the Downtown Development Authority, in cooperation with the City of Traverse City, initiated a planning and public engagement process to develop a Mobility Action Plan for the entire city. You may have already participated in two of the previous public engagement activities for this project (the first public meeting was held at the Maritime Academy in October and the second public meeting was held at the Alluvion in March).

Recently, a series of preliminary maps were developed showing potential bicycle routes for the downtown area. These maps also include options for ways bicycles might be used downtown (e.g., dedicated bike-lane, shared street). In an effort to discuss these options; the project team will be facilitating two meetings for downtown stakeholders to provide input.

The first meeting will run from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and the second meeting will run from 4:30 to 6:30. Both meetings will be held on MONDAY, MAY 15 in the Boardroom of Hotel Indigo.

If you are not able to attend this meeting, there will be additional public meetings later this summer. More information about this project can be found at the project website HERE.
